New: Friendship!
NPC Friendship is something we’ve been looking to add to Strudel Cafe for quite some time. We’ll be rolling out in “stages” but we have big plans for it!

To start, we’re rolling out the Friendship Hub page here. This page will be where you can visit NPCs daily (after you’ve collected their respective charm) to raise your friendship level with them. The first level of interaction will be simple “chat” options that give +1 Friendship and can be repeated once per NPC per day. Not all NPCs are ready for interactions, and their pages will reflect so. NPCs begin as Strangers but become Acquaintances once you have earned at least 1 Friendship for them. At 100 points you become Friends and at 200, Best Friends!

While you won’t obtain any prizes until higher levels of friendship, building friendships takes time and effort! The higher tiers are coming soon, so be working on your progress in the meantime! Want to earn even more friendship? Complete quests for the respective NPC at the quest hub! Quest hub quests (note: not hidden quests!) provide +1 Friendship for the NPC associate with the quest. (Note: We began tracking this at the beginning of the Friendship Event so you may find you already have progress on some NPCs as you begin interacting with them!)

Still need charms for your favourite NPCs? Each NPC has their own personalized one-time quest that is linked at the bottom of their interaction page (until you complete it!) that will provide you with their respective charm.

Seasonal rollover complete and it is officially SPRING in Midveil!

There are three new crops this year: You'll find Chickpea Starters for your Trellises in the Farmer's Market. There is a new hidden Starter in the Trellises and new hidden Sapling in the Orchard!

Trees have been cut down for the season and orchards cleared. Due to the mix-up of Spring rollover happening on the 21st vs the 20th any trees planted on the 20th (for Spring or All Seasons) have been left in your orchards.

The Salty vs Sweet Raffles have been rolled in our public Discord and the results are in! Below are our winners – if you see your name listed, your prize is listed in our banking channel and will be added in the next banking update!

Additionally, we forgot to mention in the newsletter earlier that crumb rewards have been boosted on Origins ARPGs! You'll find the Origins ARPGs all give higher amounts of base crumbs to encourage users to develop their characters and earn some extra pocket money!

This month marks the second annual arborling celebration, and this year, we went all out! Our favorite furry sprouts have gotten a complete overhaul, starting with their reference sheet! We hope this new guide format is easy and fun to read, and we’d love to hear your feedback on it! In this new guide, you’ll notice something quite big… Arborlings have a brand new form! Hints have been sprinkled throughout the site that Midveil has been regaining its magic little by little...and in this month’s event, we uncover something big!

Event: The Enlightened Plot

The Enlightened Event follows your arborling as they answer a mysterious call from the Slumbering Woods… an ancient idol has been uncovered deep within the forest. The arborlings who have successfully entered the woods aren’t quite the same when they come back! This event follows our “Plot” format, and will guide your arborling through a series of randomized prompts until they reach their final destination! Finish the event, and you’ll receive the item needed to upgrade your arborling into their truest, most powerful form: The Druidic Arborling!

Along the way, you can also collect pupas around the site. Each pupa is jam-packed with new prizes, including mutations, seeds, pets, etc! Check out the event page to find out how to get started in this month’s event! This event will run for two months, and will end May 4th to account for the couple of days we ran behind!

NEW! Blighted & Druidic Arborlings

Druidic arborlings aren’t the only surprise coming from the woods lately… Will you be unlucky enough to stumble upon our newest random event? While exploring the fairy ring, you might stumble upon a strange blue mushroom. This mushroom is single handedly responsible for the “Blight” that has been plaguing arborlings all over Cafe Central! If you happen upon this RE, a Bad Shroom will be added to your inventory… This means you can now design your very own blighted arborlings!

With the proper introduction of blighted and druidic arborlings, we have released two new memories! Infection and Enlightenment are now live, complete with new treats, and pet upgrades for your Arborling's newest forms!

NEW! Green Acres Progression Unlock

As we continue to add more and more onto Strudel Cafe, we want to make sure the game feels rewarding! With so many memories in existence, we understand that it can be a little overwhelming, even to senior members! Our solution to this? You can now unlock Green Acres mini-games by simply playing! Once you harvest 100 crops from Green Acres, you will be eligible to unlock the barn, so on and so forth! All you need to do is visit the ARPG page to redeem! We have removed crumb unlocks in Green Acres in favor of this progression style!

Shop: Friendship Event

Did you participate in our Friendship event? We bet those Sweetheart Tokens are burning a hole in your pocket! Worry not, the Friendship Shop is live so you can spend all those hard-earned tokens! Click here to give it a visit!

The contents of this shop are a brand new item: Friendship Charms. Charms unlock special pages where you can interact with all of your favorite NPCs one-on-one! You can have chats, uncover hidden lore, give gifts, or even complete daily favors! While we are still working on getting all of our NPCs up and running, we want to give everyone a head start on collecting them! Purchase your favorites from the store, and the rest will be available via special quests released later on! (So no worries if you can’t get all of them immediately!)
