StrudelCafe: Green Acres Guide

Green Acres is a farming game where you can unlock more areas through our ARPG; barn, coop, orchard, and trellis!

If you experience any issues while playing Green Acres, please leave a bug report.

Unlocking Each Expansion

Users can get started on the Farm for free! All other parts of the Green Acres game require an ARPG memory to be completed to unlock it. You need to complete each memory in order to unlock the next section.

  1. Unlock the Farm: Free to all users. Get started here!
  2. Unlock the Barn: ARPG MEMORY: Barn Raising
  3. Unlock the Coop: ARPG MEMORY: Flew the Coop
  4. Unlock the Orchard: ARPG MEMORY: A Bushel and a Peck
  5. Unlock the Trellis: ARPG MEMORY: Through the Grapevine

Farm

Using the Farm

To Plant Seeds: Each starter pack comes with four starter seeds. To plant them, simply click on the seed bag in your "Inventory" panel click OK to confirm planting.

To Pull Up Crops: Click the "Manage Farm" button beside your plots. You can hover over each crop and click the red "X" to pull up a crop. You cannot remove a crop that has been watered during the current time slot.

To Water Plots: To water your plots, simply click on the plot image! The plot will turn a darker brown to signify that the plot has been watered.

To Harvest Plots: You'll know your plot is ready for harvest when the plot image changes to a dancing sprout. Click on it to harvest!

To Purchase Seeds: This can be done from the Farmer's Market! Click the "Purchase Goods" tab, and input the quantity under the seeds you wish to purchase. To complete the purchase, click the "Purchase Selected Goods" button!

How do I find information on certain crops? You can check out the Green Acres Catalogue to see their season, yield, etc! There are also some special, secret seeds you can find while harvesting your crops!

Opening More Plots

Each user will start with 4 “open” plots, and the rest will be blocked by twigs or rocks. More plots will open up the longer you play the game! These upgrades will appear in the Farmer's Market when you have unlocked it.

For every 10 gathers, you’ll be eligible to purchase a new slot. The first slot will cost 1,000 crumbs, and each upgrade after will cost 1,000 more than the previous one.

Fertilizer

Why is my plot sparkling? Rainbow sparkles on a farm plot indicate that the plot has been fertilized! Each user gets one (1) free fertilizer per day that they can use to send to a friend.

When sending fertilizer: It will randomly fertilize 2 of your friend’s plot, and one of your own. Some users may arrange a “fertilizer swap” with friends so that each day you both get the extra bonus. Once you send fertilizer, the bag will disappear from the Farm inventory until the next day.

How to send fertilizer: Click on the bag of fertilizer icon at the top of your farm inventory. On the new page, provide the name of your friend who you would like to fertilize and submit! You can also send fertilizer from a user's profile, or click the "leaf" icon beside their name in your friends list.

Why do I get an error when sending fertlizer? The user needs to have seeds planted in their farm for the fertilizer to work.

Barn

Using the Barn

To Add Animals: Eligible barn animals will be shown on the right side of the barn in the Inventory section. To add one, click on them and click "OK" on the pop-up! To add a sheep, you own must shears and likewise to add a cow you must own a milker! To purchase the tool you did not pick with your memory, visit the Farmer's Market!

To Name Animals: Once you have added your animals, you can click on their name tag. This will take you to their info page where you can give them a unique name and description.

To Manage Your Barn: Click on "Manage Barn" right above your barn inventory.

  • To sort your animals: Simply drag and drop to the desired positions until you are satisfied with the ordering. When you exit barn management they will stay in that order! (Feature not available on mobile)
  • To remove an animal: Click on the red x in the upper right corner of the pet image. Removing a pet will reset your brushing progress on that pet, and if you replace that pet with another you will not be able to brush the new pet until the next brushing period.

To Brush Your Animal: To brush your animals, simply click on the animal image! The heart indicator will fill denoting that the animal has been brushed.

To Purchase Barn Animals: Vist Pippa's Pets to see what Barn animals are in stock. Locate the animal you wish to purchase, input a quantity, and press ENTER or click on the animal's image!

Regarding Wishing Weeds: Wishing Weeds need to be evolved into Counting Sheep before you can use them in your barn. You can evolve them by completing the ARPG memory Make A Wish, or using a Happy Weed. (Happy Weed is not the same thing as a fertilizer bag)

To Gather Byproducts: You'll know your animal is ready for gathering when the colourful rainbow sparkles appear on top of the animal! Some animals may even drop extra byproducts when harvested.

How do I find information on certain animals? You can check out the Green Acres Catalogue to see their production, yield, etc!

Coop

Using the Coop

Orchard

Trees and Mushrooms

To Add Trees/Mushrooms: Eligible seeds will be shown on the right side of the Orchard in the Inventory section. To add one, click on them and click "OK" on the pop-up!

Note: You can only plant trees that are "in season".

To Purchase Saplings/Seeds: This can be done from the Farmer's Market! Simply locate the seeds you wish to purchase, input a quantity, and press ENTER or click on the seed image!

To Gather Byproducts: You'll know your trees/mushrooms are ready to harvest when their harvesting animation appears on the image! Trees will be animated, and the logs will have dancing mushrooms.

Note: Saplings can only be harvested once they have fully grown into trees.

To Remove Crops: Click the "Manage Orchard" button beside your plots. You can hover over each crop and click the red "X" to pull up a crop. You cannot remove a crop that has been watered during the current time slot.

Trees & Lumber: At the end of each season, your tree will die. However, you can harvest the dead tree for lumber. There may be an item that lets you harvest the tree for lumber before the season ends though ...

Bees

To Add Bees: Eligible bees will appear in the right side of the Orchard in the Inventory section. To add one, click on them and click "OK" on the pop-up! After that, you can add a flower to the box to produce a specific kind of honey.

To Remove Bees: Click the "Manage Orchard" button beside your plots. You can hover over each box and click the red "X" to pull up a crop. You cannot remove a bee that has been tended to during the current time slot.

To Tend To Bee Box: Simply click on the bee box! A small heart with appear beside the bee to indicate that it has been tended to.

To Gather Byproducts: You'll know your bee box is ready to harvest when the bee box is dripping with honey. Click it to harvest!

Note: Wildflower Honey comes from harvesting whatever seasonal flower is available via the farm!

How do I find information on certain bees? You can check out the Green Acres Catalogue to see their bonuses, yield, etc!

Opening More Slots

Each user will start with 4 “open” slots, and the rest will be blocked by twigs or rocks. More plots will open up the longer you play the game! These upgrades will appear in the Farmer's Market when you have unlocked it.

Every 25 harvests you will be eligible to purchase a new orchard plot! For Bee Boxes and Mushroom Logs it is every 50 harvests. Each plot/box/log costs 10,000 crumbs.

Trellis

Using the Trellis

To Add Bushes: Eligible starters will be shown on the right side of the Trellis in the Inventory section. To add one, click on them and click "OK" on the pop-up!

To Purchase Starters: This can be done from the Farmer's Market! Simply locate the starter you wish to purchase, input a quantity, and press ENTER or click on the starter image!

To Gather Byproducts: You'll know your bushes are ready to harvest when their harvesting animation appears on the image! Each bush can be harvested a total of three (3) times before it dies. The bushes need to be watered between each harvest.

To Remove Crops: Click the "Manage Trellis" button beside your plots. You can hover over each crop and click the red "X" to pull up a crop. You cannot remove a crop that has been watered during the current time slot.

Tending to Your Plots



You can tend to your plots up to 3 times a day. There will be a countdown underneath your plots indicating when you can tend to your plots next. These are the time frames:

12:00 AM to 7:59AM EST

8:00 AM to 3:59 PM EST

4:00 PM to 11:59 PM EST

Upgrading Your Tools



Watering Can: After 500 clicks, you’ll be prompted to upgrade your tool to silver. After 2,000 clicks, you’ll be prompted to upgrade to gold. Silver tools will tend to a whole row, and gold will tend to all of your plots at once. Note: The watering can from the Farm and Orchard are shared!

Beeb Hood & Log Mister: Both can be upgraded after tending to them 1,000 times. When upgraded to gold, you'll be able to tend to the whole row of Bee Boxes/Mushroom Logs!

Farmer's Market

The Farmer's Market sells seeds seeds for the game, and will buy back any items in your inventory.

What seeds can I get in the Farmer's Market? The market stocks only seeds that are in season. That means the options will be different during each season. You can find more information about which season each seed falls under in the Catalogue. We follow the Farmer's Alamanac for season changes.

To purchase an item: Input the quantity of seeds you would like underneath the corresponding item you would like to purchase. Click "Purchase Selected Goods" when you are ready to make your purchase. If you do not have enough crumbs you will receive an error.

To sell an item: Click the "Sell Goods" tab to open it. Input the quantity you'd like to sell in the box below the item image (you can sell multiple at one time), and click the "Sell Selected Goods" button at the bottom of the box.

Special Items



There are some special items you can earn through hidden quests that will give you an extra water/feed, or give you extra lumber when chopping down trees. Can you find them all?
